Jeffrey D. Freedman, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who
has been providing direct care to children, adolescents, adults and elders
since 1990. He has been trained in individual, couples and family
therapy and specializes in treating depression, anxiety, neurological degenerative
diseases, and persistent mental health disorders. Dr. Freedman has been the
clinical director of a group practice for many years, is an associate professor
at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic where he supervises psychiatric
residents, and is on the board of directors for the Jewish Family and Children’s
Services. He regularly lectures and provides staff training for a number
of geriatric care facilities in the Pittsburgh area, has taught psychology
courses at Duquesne University, and has been a consultant for the North Hills
and North Allegheny School Districts’ staff. Dr. Freedman earned his
doctorate from Duquesne University and is a member of the American Psychological
Association, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, and the Greater
Pittsburgh Association.
